The serene waters of Sydney’s Hawkesbury River provided the perfect setting for the 2024 Fleming Yachts Australia Rendezvous, held over three days in November.
This unforgettable weekend epitomised the refined boating lifestyle, gathering together passionate Fleming owners and their vessels for an event filled with scenic cruising, easy socialising and unforgettable experiences.
An Elegant Welcome
The event began at the prestigious Royal Motor Yacht Club in Newport, where 12 stunning Fleming yachts docked in style. Guests enjoyed an intimate cocktail reception aboard The Pearl pontoon and a Twin Disc demonstration on the 55-213 Fleming model, showcasing the advanced mechanical capabilities of the vessels.
As evening fell, the group enjoyed a formal dinner hosted by Fleming Yachts, where attendees shared stories of their seafaring adventures. The atmosphere was relaxed, yet vibrant, setting the tone for a memorable weekend.
Cruising, Connection, and Gourmet Delights
Friday brought the beauty of the Hawkesbury River to life. A leisurely cruise through pristine waters showcased the yachts in all their glory, captured in breathtaking aerial footage by Salty Dingo.
The fleet anchored at Peats Bite, a popular local spot renowned for its serene waters and relaxed atmosphere. Guests were treated to a gourmet long lunch, featuring a selection of fine wines and a curated menu that paired perfectly with the setting. Conversations flowed easily, reflecting the strong sense of connection that defines the Fleming Yachts family.
The last event of the weekend was an extraordinary eight-course degustation by the water at the renowned Cottage Point Inn. It was a fitting end to a weekend of new friendships, shared interests and memories made.
Sharing Experience and Knowledge
Fleming Yachts Construction Director Adi Shard joined the rendezvous from the company’s Taiwan headquarters, keen to hear from Fleming customers on how they use and enjoy their yachts.
“The rendezvous events are a fantastic opportunity for all Fleming yacht owners to get together, get to know each other, and share their experiences,” said Adi.
“They can all learn so much from each other in terms of places to go, tips and tricks to use the boat, best practices and generally just sharing an amazing yachting lifestyle together.
“That’s what they want, that’s why they bought a yacht and that’s what we want for them – to get the best experience out of that wonderful yachting lifestyle.”
