2024 Selene Ocean Explorer 62

Overview

This 2024 Selene 62 Ocean Explorer was delivered in Hong Kong in May 2024 and the owner of Selene Yachts accompanied the owner and crew on her maiden voyage to Singapore via the Philippines. The boat is packed with high quality equipment and redundancy systems and is suitable for cruising the world. The lower helm gives the impression of a small ship with four Furuno 24-inch touch screens chartplotters.

The yacht features a three-guest cabin layout with the VIP double cabin in the bow having direct access to the forward head which it shares with the twin cabin. The full beam master cabin is amidships with a separate dressing room and large head featuring a back lit, full height stone panel in the shower. There is a large saloon and galley area which is offset to have the side deck on the starboard side only to maximise interior volume.

Powered by twin John Deere 4045AFM85 180hp engines it can reach a top speed of 11 knots and cruise at 9 knots for 1,300 nautical miles. There are two Northern Lights generators of 10 and 26 kw with the larger generator also having a PTO to power the hydraulic system as well as PTO pumps on both engines to power the Trac bow & stern thrusters, twin Maxwell windlasses and zero speed stabilizers.
